Techmira Inc. expands its portfolio with new oral care products.
March 12, 2018
By: Melissa Meisel
A faster and gentler approach for advanced oral hygiene, Techmira Inc., the pioneering brand that re-invented the use of ultrasound technology for at-home use with its Mira-Skin Starter Kit, has brought its technology a step further with the Mira-Teeth Ultrasound Toothbrush and Ultrasound Toothpaste Gels. This “hygiene process” provides a deep antibacterial cleaning and tooth whitening effect, according to the company. The Mira-Teeth Ultrasound Toothbrush operates without rotating or swiveling brush heads; instead, it harnesses ultrasound technology to clear out bacteria and sweep away buildup with air oscillations. This means gums aren’t irritated, especially in areas of sensitivity or where gums have already receded. With 60 million gentle air oscillations per minute (aka ultrasound), the Mira-Teeth toothbrush cleans teeth more effectively than a normal toothbrush, because ultrasound reaches beyond the point where other toothbrushes clean. The ultrasound generated from the brush shaft, combined with the Mira- Teeth Toothpaste Gel, produces billions of nano-bubbles per second to safely disintegrate chains of bacteria that are found on teeth, in the mouth, on the tongue and inside gum pockets. It is said to clean those hard-to-reach places, like in-between teeth and deeply in gum pockets, where many bleeding and dental problems can begin. The ultrasound technology is emitted in a cone-shaped “beam” of air with a range of approximately 2.75 inches. Techmira says the technology is faster, too; Mira-Teeth ultrasound fully cleanses teeth in only 60-90 seconds—or about in 50% less time than it takes to clean with an electric or sonic toothbrush. Technological innovations are nothing new for this device company. It recently debuted a state-of-the-art portable ultrasound facial device that allows for professional grade treatment on-the-go. The Mira-Skin Activeboost Wand uses ultrasound technology to prevent and reverse the signs of aging, according to the company. Through micro air oscillations of one million cycles per second, the Ultrasound Activeboost Wand safely delivers efficacious ingredients deeper into the skin as effectively as possible, visibly lifting and firming for incredible results. “There is a shift from in-office spa treatments to home devices due to consumer desire for professional-grade results achieved at an affordable price and with minimal time commitment,” noted Stephen Spector, president, Techmira Inc., Nevada. “Over the last three years, the home health & beauty device category has experienced rapid growth in terms of number of devices available and sales.” According to Spector, in the past, products such as Clarisonic targeted brushing off dead skin cells and the industry is now seeing a focus on boosting the skin from ultrasound technology and the power of the galvanic cosmetic process introduced by NuSkin. Now, beauty consumers are seeking out these types of features for their oral care products. “Our Mira-Teeth Ultrasound toothbrush which uses the same principle,” said Spector. “The ultrasound technology is used for dental hygiene which offers the benefits of cleaning not just on the surface but also deep inside the gum pockets.” In addition, Techmira will launch Mira-Skin 100% organic pain relief gel later on in 2018, which works with the ultrasound wand to sooth any pains from joints, muscles or even arthritis inflammation. The Mira-Teeth Starter Kit ($199) and Ultrasound Toothpaste Gels ($6.99 to $8.99) are available at Techmira.com. The Mira-Teeth Toothbrush Device ($159) and Ultrasound Toothpaste Gel (with Fluoride) are also a part of the Mira-Teeth Starter Kit, which is available at Techmira.com.
